01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
At ensia in Asakusa’s Kaminarimon area, a display case of colourful fresh pastries sits alongside a calm, modern French dining room. The pâtisserie also serves leisurely, full-course French meals.
At dinner, monthly changing courses bring seasonal ingredients to the table. The meal begins with an amuse-bouche, followed by colourful starters and fish cooked until the skin is fragrant and crisp. Main courses include beef fillet Rossini topped with foie gras and braised beef cheek, each showing careful attention to detail. Wine pairings are also suggested to complement the dishes, adding to the pleasure of the meal.
Pasta Lunch and a Dessert of Your Choice
At lunchtime, a set meal offers pasta with rich potage and freshly baked bread for a more casual meal. Choose from dishes such as peperoncino with seasonal vegetables and shrimp, salmon cream pasta, or pasta made with sea urchin. For dessert, choose a cake directly from the display case. The pastry chef’s cakes include shortcake and tarts, served with coffee or tea.
There are counter seats as well as private rooms, making the restaurant suitable for celebratory meals and dining with family. Reservations are accepted for both lunch and dinner, and booking ahead to secure a seat is recommended.
